Teaching in the English department, the DRW & the CWRLThe eFiles project allows instructors to search for course descriptions, policy statements, syllabi, assignments, and pedagogic resources for University of Texas at Austin English Department, Department of Rhetoric and Writing, and Computer Writing and Research Laboratory. eFiles provides general information, course goals, documents, assignment resources, and multimedia assignment resources for many of the courses offered by the English department and the DRW. Most graduate students in the UT English Department spend their first two years as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in Masterworks of Literature (English 316K). In their third year, most become an Assistant Instructor (AI) and teach first-year writing (Rhetoric and Writing 306). In their fourth year, many instructors are given the opportunity to design a topics in writing course (Rhetoric and Writing 309K). And in the fifth year, many teach Sophomore Literature (English 314). eFiles provides resources for each of these classes. |
