Goals: The aim of this series of questions is to solicit information about each student as a writer. The instructor can use this information in putting together the peer editing groups.

Pass out these instructions to students and have them respond in writing. Remind them to add any additional comments that could aid in this process at the bottom of the sheet or on the back.
1. Name the last English class you took, if any.
Who was the professor?
What grade did you receive?
2. Do you have any writing or editing experience? If so, what is it?
3. Is English your first language?
If so, what other languages have you studied?
Are you fluent or comfortable speaking and writing any of
these languages?
If not, what is your first language?
In what language have you had the majority of your education?
4. Do you have any learning disabilities?
If so, what are they?
Have they been treated?
Do they pose special problems for writing? If so, what are they?
5. How would you evaluate your writing? Describe your strengths and weaknesses.
