These are prompts that worked for my students of E314: Women’s Popular Genres
Papers were 5-7 pages.
We had an eclectic group of texts: Pride and Prejudice, Aurora Leigh, Bridget Jones' Diary, A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains, Eat Pray Love, and Reading Lolita in Tehran.
I let them interpret the prompts in their own way, but they had individual conferences with me first to discuss their ideas.
